Hani Almadhoun is Muslim Advocates' director of development, where he leads the development team on the advancement of Muslim Advocates' mission.
Prior to joining Muslim Advocates, Hani served as the director of donor development at the American Near East Refugee Aid, where he helped diversify funding sources and broaden the base of supporters by using events, social media, and major gift giving. Prior to that, Hani served at the Jerusalem Fund as the grants and accounting manager where he worked on garnering grants and fundraising as well as overseeing the organization's finances. Hani got his start with civil rights and advocacy at the American Arab anti-discrimination committee, where he helped with membership drives, fundraising, and the organization's prestigious convention.
In the realm of volunteer work, Hani serves as a board member for the Association of Fundraising Professionals where he writes and takes the lead on issues of development within the industry. Hani served on CARE Global Leaders advisory board. Previously, Hani served as the treasurer for the American Muslim Health Professionals, in addition to serving on the board of the Main Street Child Development Center. In all of these callings, Hani helps improve charitable organizations' effectiveness and overall fundraising initiatives.
Hani is a graduate of the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University, with a Masters degree in Public Administration with a focus on non-profit work.
