FOIA Request Overview

In July 2018, Muslim Advocates filed a FOIA request for more information regarding the Tip-Off US/Canada (“TUSCAN”) database which shares intelligence information between border agents in the United States and Canada.

The request was filed in response to a June 2018 news article in The Guardian that discussed the expansion of information-sharing between U.S. and Canadian border agents.
