Overview

For the first time in American history, a member of Congress held a series of hearings targeting people based on their faith. Congressman Peter King from New York organized anti-Muslim hearings during both 2011 and 2012. Muslim Advocates organized a diverse coalition of partners to advocate against hearing and to educate the public about the harm these hearings would have on the daily lives of American Muslims including increased fear for their safety.
