Join us at Solidarity in Action a night of community on October 22nd in New York City that centers art, advocacy and connection with community partners working to achieve lasting social change.

Leqaa Kordia is a 33-year-old Muslim Palestinian woman and long-time U.S. resident who was detained by ICE on March 13, 2025 after voluntarily meeting with immigration officials concerning her status. After more than one year of detention, Leqaa was finally released on March 16, 2026 after an immigration judge granted her release on bond. Leqaa was targeted for her participation in a protest at Columbia University, where she was exercising her rights to freedom of expression and peaceful assembly protesting Israel’s genocide against Palestinians in the occupied Gaza strip.
