Civil Rights Groups Call on Senate to Block Nomination of Anti-Muslim, Anti-Black Internet Troll to Top Pentagon Post
Washington, DC — On Wednesday, July 29 at 10:30 AM ET, Muslim Advocates, Faithful America, NAACP and Vote Vets will hold a press call urging the U.S. Senate to reject President Trump’s nomination of Anthony Tata to be Under Secretary of Defense for Policy at the Pentagon. Maxine Waters (D-CA). The North Carolina NAACP has also warned that Tata tried to “re-segregate Wake County Public Schools” when he served as superintendent of the district.
