Muslim Advocates and Emprise Bank Announce Resolution of Matter Involving Sattar Ali and His Family
Washington, DC – Today, Muslim Advocates and Emprise Bank released the following joint statement announcing the resolution of the matter involving Sattar Ali and his family. In September 2017, the Ali family was detained in Wichita, Kansas after attempting to deposit a check at a local branch of Emprise Bank. The Ali family has been represented by Muslim Advocates and the firm of Relman, Dane & Colfax PLLC:
Emprise Bank and the Ali family are pleased to report that they have reached an amicable resolution regarding the incident that occurred on September 6, 2017. Emprise recognizes that Mr. Ali’s check was ultimately determined to be valid and remains sorry for the events that occurred and for the pain caused to Mr. Ali and his family.
