Muslim Advocates Condemns Anti-Semitic Bomb Threats and Vandalism
Madihha Ahussain, staff attorney and lead for the Program to Counter Anti-Muslim Hate at Muslim Advocates, issued the following statement in response to a recent wave of bomb threats and vandalism targeting Jewish institutions like Jewish Community Centers, a Missouri cemetery, and the Anti-Defamation League:
“An attack on one of us is an attack on us all. We stand in support of our Jewish brothers and sisters who are facing a national wave of anti-Semitism unlike any in recent memory.
These attacks on community and family institutions like the JCC–where children are raised–and cemeteries–where parents are put to rest–have no place in a diverse society that honors the freedom of religion for all. Most recently, a threat to the Anti-Defamation League, an organization whose mission is to protect religious liberty, has contributed to the fear and concern felt by Jewish Americans across the country.
This is not the America we know. We urge our leaders in the administration and around the country to come out forcefully against all forms of bigotry and hate violence.”
