Thousands of American Muslims have been targeted for “voluntary interviews” since September 11, 2001 – interviews unconnected to any specific criminal investigation.
Attorneys, please join us on June 3rd, 2014 at 4 PM EST / 1 PM PST for a webinar on how to represent clients targeted by law enforcement for a voluntary interview. Ron Friedman, a partner with the Lane Powell firm in Seattle, will lead the discussion, and Adil Haq, a staff attorney at Muslim Advocates, will moderate. Mr. Friedman has spent over two decades as a federal prosecutor. During his time with the Department of Justice, Mr. Friedman conducted hundreds of criminal investigations and tried dozens of cases, all of which resulted in a conviction. Through his experience as a prosecutor, Mr. Friedman has worked closely with FBI agents. As a result, he has extensive knowledge of Bureau practices, including agent interview tactics.
The webinar is being offered at no cost. It has been approved for CLE in California and may qualify for approval in New York and other jurisdictions as well. Muslim Advocates will assist you in seeking CLE credit where you are licensed.
