The op-ed criticizes the new travel policy issued by the Transportation Security Administration on Sunday evening for promoting “dragnet profiling [that] is virtually worthless in detecting actual criminal behavior.” Ms. Khera proposes, instead, that TSA staff be trained to look for the behavioral clues and facts about individuals that many leading security experts tell us are the real indicators of criminal behavior. Muslim Advocates has also issued a legal advisory for travelers passing through any of the 14 nations.
